]]> http://chebuctosymphony.ca/2011/10/winter-sounds-march-10-2012/feed/ 0 Handel’s Messiah from Scratch is December 27 2011 http://chebuctosymphony.ca/2011/09/messiah-from-scratch/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=messiah-from-scratch http://chebuctosymphony.ca/2011/09/messiah-from-scratch/#comments Mon, 26 Sep 2011 15:09:17 +0000 webmistress http://chebuctosymphony.ca/?p=253 Join us in performing the Messiah from Scratch, December 27 2011 with conductor  Eszter Horvath.  Rehearsal starts at 2pm, at Faith Tabernacle Church on Windsor St.  Rehearsal will be followed by the performance at 3:15 pm.  A participation fee of $10 will be  collected from all singers and players.  Vocal scores will be available for an additional $10 rental fee.  After the performance, relax, chat with old friends, and meet the soloists at the reception.  A big thank you to  Faith Tabernacle for hosting this event once again!  Proceeds will be shared amongst Feed Nova Scotia and other local charities.  Food Bank donations also gratefully accepted.

Join us in Truro on Saturday, May 5th at 7:00 pm.  We’ll present an encore performance on Saturday May 12th at 7 p.m. in St. Matthew’s United Church on Barrington Street in Halifax.  Among the concert selections are Schubert’s Stabat Mater and Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy for solo piano, four solo singers, choir and orchestra.
